In World War I, propaganda was used to get people to enlist in the war. They also used it as a good source for debt collection, to get the countries morale up, and also to get the country to support the war. The propaganda in World War I was not as nice or as effective as in World War II. Australia realized that their way of using propaganda wasn't getting the point fully across and was almost like telling the people what to do. In World War II, they realized that appealing to them didn't work as well as making them feel guilty they were not involved in the war efforts.
